"No Harassment or Forced Labor"... Busan Port Authority Holds Joint Labor-Management Human Rights Management Charter Signing
Busan Port Authority (BPA) has reaffirmed its commitment to practicing human rights management.
On July 22, BPA announced that it held a 'Joint Labor-Management Human Rights Management Charter Signing Ceremony,' during which both management and the labor union signed the revised Human Rights Management Charter. Sanggeun Song, President of BPA, and Shinho Park, Chairman of the BPA Labor Union, attended the signing ceremony.
Since establishing its Human Rights Management Charter in 2018, BPA fully revised the charter in June after gathering feedback from employees and holding discussions with the Human Rights Management Committee. The revised charter reflects recent key issues, including respect for domestic and international human rights norms, prohibition of forced labor and child labor, prohibition of workplace harassment, and implementation of human rights management throughout the supply chain.
To strengthen communication with global stakeholders, BPA also produced an English version of the charter, which will be displayed at major business facilities and partner companies in the future.
