Not the Ji Gwiyoun Panel, but Criminal Division 35
Possibility of Merger into a Single Court Panel
The case of former President Yoon Seokyoul, who was additionally indicted by Special Prosecutor Cho Eunsuk's team investigating the December 3 illegal emergency martial law-related rebellion and foreign affairs case, has been assigned to the Criminal Agreement Division 35 (Presiding Judge Baek Daehyun) of the Seoul Central District Court.
On July 21, the Seoul Central District Court announced that the case of former Minister Yoon, who was additionally indicted on charges including abuse of authority, obstruction of the exercise of rights, falsification and use of official documents, and violation of the Presidential Records Act, has been assigned as such.

View original imagePreviously, the rebellion case, including the charges of being the ringleader of the rebellion and abuse of authority and obstruction of the exercise of rights, for which former President Yoon was indicted by the Special Investigation Headquarters for Emergency Martial Law, has been handled exclusively by the Criminal Agreement Division 25 (Presiding Judge Ji Gwiyoun) of the Seoul Central District Court. On July 19, the special prosecutor's team for the rebellion case indicted former President Yoon under detention on charges of abuse of authority and obstruction of the exercise of rights, falsification and use of official documents, violation of the Presidential Records Act, damage to official documents, violation of the Presidential Security Act, obstruction of special official duties, and aiding and abetting the escape of a criminal.
