Doosan Construction Wins Myeongjang 2 District Redevelopment Project in Busan

Doosan Construction has secured a redevelopment project in Myeongjang 2 District, Dongnae-gu, Busan, valued at approximately 380 billion won.

View original imageOn July 21, Doosan Construction announced that it had been selected as the contractor at the general meeting for the selection of the construction company for the Myeongjang 2 District redevelopment and maintenance project.
The Myeongjang 2 District redevelopment project involves constructing 1,137 apartment units and associated welfare facilities across 11 buildings, ranging from three underground floors to 34 above-ground floors, at 300-55 Myeongjang-dong, Dongnae-gu, Busan. The construction period is set at 43 months from the groundbreaking date, with the total construction cost estimated at about 382 billion won.
The project site is a highly sought-after residential area in Dongnae-gu, equipped with comprehensive transportation, educational, and infrastructure amenities. Myeongjang Station and Seodong Station on Busan Metro Line 4 are both within a 10-minute walk, ensuring convenient access to public transportation. Dongnae Station and Haeundae Centum City are reachable within a 10-minute drive. The area is adjacent to schools such as Yongin High School, Daemyeong Girls' High School, and Myeongseo Elementary School. Green spaces like Myeongjang Neighborhood Park and Dongnae Historic Park are nearby, and daily life infrastructure, including Dongnae Market and Daedong Hospital, is also excellent.
Doosan Construction continues to expand its order portfolio across both public and private sectors. The company has also secured the Banghak Station Urban Complex Project and the Ssangmun Station East Urban Complex Project, both part of Seoul’s Urban Public Housing Complex Projects No. 1 and No. 2, as well as the Gocheok-dong Industrial Apartment Reconstruction Project in Guro-gu, Seoul. Currently, Doosan Construction’s order backlog remains at around 10 trillion won.
