These laptops, which were used by employees for business purposes over the past four years, have been refurbished with updated operating systems (OS) and software and will be distributed sequentially to those with limited access to information technology. The company explained that this initiative goes beyond a simple donation of goods and is intended to provide tangible support to individuals who face challenges in accessing digital environments.
Including this latest donation, Toray Advanced Materials has recycled and delivered a total of approximately 600 laptops this year. The company is strengthening its ESG activities by pursuing the dual social values of closing the digital divide and promoting resource circulation.
