Cyber Operations Command to Participate in US 'Cyber Flag' Exercise
Participating for the Fourth Time This Year
Seven Members Join the Exercise
The Cyber Operations Command will participate in the international cyber exercise 'Cyber Flag'.
The Ministry of National Defense announced on July 21 that the Cyber Operations Command will take part in the Cyber Flag exercise, which will be held from July 21 to 25 (local time) at the National Cyber Range Complex in Virginia, United States. Cyber Flag is an exercise organized by the United States Cyber Command and has been held annually since 2011 to strengthen partnerships among allied and friendly nations, with a particular focus on the so-called 'Five Eyes' countries.
This year marks the fourth time since 2022 that the South Korean military has participated in the Cyber Flag exercise. In this year's exercise, seven members of the Cyber Operations Command will participate to become proficient in defensive operational procedures against cyber attacks targeting infrastructure, and will share threat information with other participating countries.
