NH Nonghyup Bank Introduces Sign Language Avatar Guidance Service
Sequential Introduction at 16 Branches Nationwide
On July 18, NH Nonghyup Bank announced that it has newly introduced a 'Sign Language Avatar Guidance Service' to its electronic branch system to enhance financial accessibility for customers with hearing impairments.
The 'Sign Language Avatar' is a 3D avatar video that communicates in sign language. Through the avatar displayed on the electronic branch monitor, Nonghyup Bank guides hearing-impaired customers to use financial services more easily and intuitively. The sign language avatar explains how to connect to the 'Sign Language Video Consultation Service' and assists customers naturally throughout the consultation process. This service will be gradually expanded, starting with 16 branches located near the Korea Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities nationwide.
Previously, Nonghyup Bank has been operating a 'Sign Language Video Consultation Service' that connects customers with professional sign language consultants, as well as an 'Easy Language Chatting Service' that explains financial products in simple terms.
