This year, a total of 15 schools were selected through an open call, including nine elementary schools, five middle schools, and one special school. The program will be operated with a variety of themes tailored to each school's characteristics from this month through November.
The main programs include the "Traditional Culture Olympics" traditional culture experience at Hwarang Elementary School, "Create Your Own Bracelet" at Sinsang Middle School, the "Making a Candy House" fairy tale-themed activity at Gyesang Elementary School, and the "24 Solar Terms Nature Experience" at Taerang Elementary School. Schools that are new to the program or have participated two times or fewer are given priority, providing more schools with the opportunity to join.
This program has received high satisfaction from both students and parents. Under the vision of "a happy educational community where children and youth become self-reliant through experience and growth," Nowon-gu is also promoting various policies to expand educational participation, such as supporting parent clubs and offering a parent academy.
