Gwangju Donggu District Accelerates Preparations for 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon' Distribution
On July 16, Gwangju Donggu District announced that it is stepping up preparations to ensure the smooth distribution of the 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon.'
The Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon is a government-issued coupon provided to all citizens to revive consumer sentiment weakened by high inflation and economic downturn, and to support increased sales for local small business owners and self-employed individuals.
In anticipation of coupon applications opening on July 21, Donggu District plans to assign 1 to 3 dedicated support staff members to each of its 13 neighborhoods, so that residents can apply conveniently. This measure is intended to minimize initial confusion due to the large number of eligible recipients and to ensure that administrative tasks are carried out without any gaps.
Counseling desks will also be operated simultaneously at the district office and neighborhood administrative welfare centers to promptly respond to residents' inquiries and inconveniences.
Lim Taek, head of Donggu District Office, stated, "I hope the Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon will empower local small business owners and help revitalize the local economy," adding, "We will devote our full administrative capacity to ensure there are no inconveniences in applying for the coupon, and we will carefully ensure that all residents can benefit."
