On July 15, Icheon Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that they had arrested and were investigating two men, including a suspect identified as A, who stole gold from a seller and fled. A is accused of meeting with gold seller B at a warehouse in Icheon at around 8:57 p.m. the previous day for a direct transaction, and then snatching gold worth about 400 million won before fleeing the scene.
The police responded to a report from B stating that the gold had been stolen, and arrived at the scene. About 12 hours after the report was filed, at around 10 a.m. on the same day, the police urgently arrested A and another individual believed to be his accomplice within Icheon city.
