Yangsan City Youth Center Selected for Project Supporting Isolated Youth
Supporting Socially Isolated and Reclusive Youth
with "Rest Youth Restart" and "Accidental Futsal Tournament"
The Yangsan City Youth Center (Director: Park Hyunkyung) has been selected as a final recipient in the "2025 Regional Specialized Youth Project" competition, organized by the Office for Government Policy Coordination and the Youth Foundation, securing a total project budget of 20 million KRW.
This selection was the result of high evaluations for specialized programs designed to help socially isolated and reclusive youth enter society, particularly those struggling due to social disconnection.
The selected projects include "Rest Youth Restart," which supports emotional recovery and self-exploration, and "Accidental Futsal Tournament," which is based on physical activities and community experiences.
Both projects emphasize voluntary participation and recovery by the youth themselves, focusing on supporting socially isolated youth in taking their first steps back into everyday life.
The city plans to accelerate its youth-friendly policy initiatives following this selection. Previously, the city has continuously expanded its foundation for inclusive youth policies through programs such as "Youth Hope Hi-Pass" and the operation of the "Youth Social Safety Net Council." Most recently, the city also completed the process of gathering public and private sector opinions for the designation of a youth-friendly city.
