[Photo] Jeju Provincial Council Visits Sejong City Council for Friendship Promotion and Policy Exchange
The Jeju Provincial Council visited the Sejong City Council on July 10. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the promotion of friendly relations and policy exchanges between the two councils. According to officials, this visit was arranged as a reciprocal visit after the Sejong City Council visited the Jeju Provincial Council in March, with the aim of strengthening friendly ties and policy exchanges between the councils. Park Hoyoung, Chair of the Administrative Autonomy Committee of the Jeju Provincial Council, and Ha Seongyong, a council member, attended the meeting.
Im Chaeseong, Chair of the Sejong City Council, stated, "The ongoing exchange between these two special councils has been of practical help in sharing the strengths and development cases of each region and in adding new perspectives. Going forward, we will continue to join forces with the Jeju Provincial Council to advance the development of special autonomous cities and provinces and to realize local autonomy and decentralization." Park Hoyoung, Chair of the Administrative Autonomy Committee, also remarked, "The two councils, which are built on similar institutional foundations, have built up trust over time. I hope we will continue to closely cooperate by sharing our experiences and achievements in legislative activities."
