This cooling cost support, carried out as part of Wolsong Headquarters' 'Social Contribution Impact Week Donation Activities,' is a proactive measure to prevent heat-related illnesses following the heat wave that continued after the rainy season in June.
In addition to cooling cost support, Wolsong Headquarters is also providing an additional 20 million won for summer disinfection and hygiene management projects at senior centers, making multifaceted efforts to create comfortable resting spaces for local residents.
Jung Wonho, Head of Wolsong Headquarters, said, "Although everyone is struggling with the heat wave, I hope this support will help seniors have a cooler and safer summer, even if only a little."
Wolsong Headquarters plans to continue supporting the improvement of local residents' safety and welfare through special donation activities during Social Contribution Impact Week, such as supporting promotional food trucks for the opening of nearby summer beaches and providing operational funds for facilities protecting female crime victims at the Gyeongju Police Station.
