View original imageOn July 10, the Jeollanam-do Provincial Council announced that it has newly formed the 4th Budget and Accounts Special Committee and elected Ryu Gijun (Hwasun 2, Democratic Party of Korea) as its chairman.
The Budget and Accounts Special Committee is a key body of the provincial council that comprehensively reviews and analyzes the budget proposals, settlements of accounts, and reserve fund expenditures of both Jeollanam-do Province and the Jeollanam-do Office of Education. In particular, it monitors and coordinates budget execution to enhance the soundness and efficiency of fiscal management and to ensure that budget spending contributes to improving the quality of life for residents.
Newly appointed Chairman Ryu Gijun stated, "I will scrutinize each and every budget item even more carefully so that the valuable budget, funded by the hard work and taxes of our residents, can be used to bring about real changes in their lives."
He also emphasized, "We will pursue resident-centered fiscal management to ensure that budgets residents can truly feel are prioritized, and we will build a trustworthy council through transparent and fair deliberations."
This 4th Budget and Accounts Special Committee consists of a total of 20 members, including the chairman. As the final committee of the 12th Jeollanam-do Provincial Council, it will deliberate on key fiscal matters related to provincial and educational administration, such as this year's supplementary budget and next year's main budget.
