Gyeonggi Province to Open 92nd Aisarang Playground in Anseong on July 11
Anseong Aisarang Playground, supported by 200 million won in provincial funding from Gyeonggi Province, will open at the Anseong Family Center on July 11.
Aisarang Playground is an indoor play space that can be used by both children and their guardians. It is part of a project that Gyeonggi Province has been promoting since 2019 to create a child-friendly childcare environment and to ease the burden of parenting.
Since last year, in line with the era of artificial intelligence (AI), Gyeonggi Province has transitioned its support program for installing Aisarang Playgrounds into the "Mamdaero A+ Playground Installation Support Project," which aims to build AI-based digital play and care infrastructure.
This Anseong Aisarang Playground is the last project implemented before the transition, and local governments can continue to install Aisarang Playgrounds on their own initiative.
The "Mamdaero A+ Playground" is a space that offers creative play content utilizing various digital technologies, including AI robots, augmented reality (AR) sports games, and virtual reality (VR) experiences.
In particular, for the Alpha Generation (those born between 2010 and 2024) who are accustomed to digital environments, a "custom order system" has been introduced to allow children to freely experience the content they want, in the location they choose, thereby strengthening user choice.
The playgrounds can be installed not only in existing child care facilities such as small libraries, Aisarang Playgrounds, Together Care Centers, Parenting Sharing Centers, and local children's centers, but also in any public or private space desired by residents of the province.
Gyeonggi Province provides up to 400 million won per new installation and up to 50 million won for facility upgrades. The project costs are shared equally between the province and local governments, at a 50:50 ratio. To date, Gyeonggi Province has supported the installation of Mamdaero A+ Playgrounds at 41 locations in 21 cities and counties.
