"Life Itself Is a Miracle"... Gijang County in Busan Hosts 'Disabled Lifelong Learning City Empathy Academy' with Park Wi
Gijang County will host an inspiring event for residents by inviting YouTuber Park Wi, who delivers messages of overcoming disabilities and hope.
On July 19 at 10:30 a.m., Gijang County will hold a special lecture for the '2025 Disabled Lifelong Learning City Empathy Academy' at the auditorium on the first floor of the Daehappy Welfare Center.
For this lecture, Park Wi, who runs the YouTube channel 'WERACLE' and has overcome quadriplegia through the power of positivity, will take the stage himself to share his story under the theme 'The Reason Your Life Is a Miracle.'
Park Wi was diagnosed with quadriplegia at the age of 28 due to an unexpected accident, but he overcame this challenge and garnered significant attention by sharing his daily life and recovery journey through his YouTube channel. He is widely supported for his message of turning despair into hope and is also a leading figure in improving awareness of disabilities.
His story has been featured on major TV programs, including SBS Special 'I Live', MBC 'The Manager', and CBS '15 Minutes to Change the World'. He also actively participates in various social activities, such as serving as a promotional ambassador for the Korean Committee for UNICEF and as a promotional ambassador for the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
This lecture is open to all Gijang County residents free of charge, and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis through the Gijang County Lifelong Learning website.
