Pyeongtaek City Breaks Ground on Integrated Public Facility in Songhwa District
Equipped with Paengseong Library, Anjeong Daycare Center, and Traditional Culture House
On July 7, the city of Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an integrated public facility in the Songhwa Housing Development District.

View original imageThe ceremony was attended by approximately 250 people, including Mayor Jung Jangsun, City Council Chair Kang Junggu, provincial and city council members, and local residents. The event marked the beginning of construction for an integrated public facility in the Songhwa District, which will include Pyeongseong Library, Anjeong Daycare Center, and a Traditional Culture House.
The building, which will be constructed in a hanok style, will be located at 771-1 Songhwa-ri, Paengseong-eup, and is being built with a total project budget of 37.2 billion KRW. Completion is targeted for the second half of next year.
The city plans to provide an integrated learning space for children, where they can read, play, and learn traditional etiquette, as well as a community space for residents to communicate and relax, through the construction of the integrated public facility.

Mayor Jung stated, "With the construction of this public facility, the educational environment in the region will be greatly improved," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure the project is completed safely."
