View original imageThe 'Seongdong 4th Industrial Revolution Experience Center,' which first opened in 2017 as the nation's first advanced technology experience space operated by a local government, has been well received. However, in order to reflect rapidly changing technologies and align with the government's direction for fostering the AI industry, the center underwent a name change and facility renewal.
Through this renovation, the exterior of the center was revamped with the installation of 30,000 lights and new paintwork, giving it a more modern and brighter appearance. The interior, previously divided into separate experience rooms, was unified into a single 'Convergence Experience Hall,' creating a spacious and continuous area. This allows for a more immersive experience and enhanced educational opportunities.
New experience content has been added, focusing on cutting-edge future technologies such as biohealth, pop drone, and AI drawing. A stage has also been installed in the drone experience area, enabling the hosting of various events and competitions.
To celebrate its reopening, the center will hold a special experience event on August 8 and 9. The event will feature 15 experience programs, including an AI photo booth, a volcano eruption experiment using VR, and Altino autonomous driving. Additionally, there will be 4 educational programs, such as making your own companion robot, creating an automatic recognition streetlight using IoT, and coding a VR escape room game.
With a wide range of topics including AI, robotics, drones, and coding, the center is designed to make future technologies accessible to everyone. Detailed information about the programs can be found on the 'Seongdong AI Future Technology Experience Center' website.
