Administrative City Agency, Public-Private Cooperation... Realizing 'Cutting-Edge Services'
Leading the Future of Smart Services in Sejong National Pilot City
The development of the Sejong National Pilot City will begin in earnest at the end of this year.
The Administrative City Construction Agency announced on July 3 that it plans to establish an implementation plan, which serves as the execution roadmap for the construction of the National Pilot City, by the second half of this year. This will be done in cooperation with Sejong Smart City Co., Ltd. (SPC), the private project developer, and Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), the public project developer.
The Sejong National Pilot City is a future-oriented smart city that will be built in Hanggak-dong (5-1 Living Zone) of the Administrative City. The agency intends to leverage the advantages of the undeveloped site to construct the National Pilot City as a world-class living space that integrates cutting-edge smart technologies and citizen happiness-centered infrastructure.
Residents of the Sejong National Pilot City will experience a variety of smart technologies in their daily lives, including: ▲innovative mobility services such as shared autonomous vehicles and AI-based smart transportation systems; ▲an education system that connects smart schools with digital learning platforms; ▲personalized health management and healthcare zones for the elderly; ▲systems for reducing fine dust and predicting fog; and ▲an eco-friendly residential environment utilizing Passive House and Zero Energy Building (ZEB) technologies.
