Jung-gu District in Seoul announced on July 1 that Hyeongwoo Bae, a local government official, has taken office as the new Deputy Mayor.
Deputy Mayor Bae passed the 2nd Local Higher Civil Service Examination and began his public service career in 1997. He has held key positions such as Director of Welfare Planning for Seoul Metropolitan Government, Deputy Mayor of Dongjak-gu, and Director of Welfare Administration Support at the Ministry of Health and Welfare. With extensive administrative experience and deep expertise in the welfare sector, the district expects Deputy Mayor Bae to be a major driving force behind projects that residents can feel in their daily lives during the 8th popularly elected term.
Deputy Mayor Bae stated, "I deeply resonate with the overall vision of Jung-gu’s 8th popularly elected administration, including urban development, education, welfare, and the economy," and added, "I will do my utmost to bring more vitality to daily life in Jung-gu and to create a better tomorrow."
