Applications Accepted Until July 4
Placement at Social Welfare Facilities and More
Gochang County in North Jeolla Province is recruiting participants for its 2025 summer vacation university student job program until July 4.
According to the county on June 30, the university student job program is a project that invests 111 million won of county funds each year to provide university students with various social experiences through two sessions per year (summer and winter).
During this summer vacation, 31 students will be placed at 16 workplaces, including social welfare facilities, child facilities, and youth centers. The program will run for four weeks starting from July 28.
Applicants must be students enrolled at a two-year or four-year university who have their address registered in the county. Those who have participated in the university student job program more than once, students on leave of absence (except those on leave for military service, who may participate with supporting documents), and graduate students are not eligible for selection.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Economic Job Team of the Department of New Vitality Economic Policy at the county office, the town or township office corresponding to the applicant's address, or by mail or email, along with the required documents.
The county will conduct a fair screening based on an evaluation table for the first round of selection, followed by a second round of interviews at the workplaces such as social welfare facilities. The final list of successful candidates will be announced on July 23. For more details, applicants can refer to the announcement on the county office website or contact the Department of New Vitality Economic Policy at the county office.
Hwang Minan, Director of the Department of New Vitality Economic Policy at the county office, said, "I hope this program will provide an opportunity for students to gain diverse social experiences during the vacation period and to learn more about Gochang. I also hope that participants will have a meaningful time during the program and use this experience as a stepping stone for their growth and development."
