Public Procurement Service Selects 119 Additional Technical Advisory Committee Members
The Public Procurement Service announced on the 30th that it has selected an additional 119 members for the Technical Advisory Committee, which will review technical proposals in the fields of architectural structure and construction, and has disclosed the list on its official website.
The selected committee members will complete integrity training, which includes a prohibition on prior contact and a code of ethical conduct. Starting next month, they will be responsible for reviewing architectural design competitions for public housing and qualitative evaluations for comprehensive assessment bidding in construction project management services, all of which are overseen by the Public Procurement Service.
Currently, the Public Procurement Service operates the Technical Advisory Committee with 640 members across 22 fields. The additional members have been selected to address the increasing demand for evaluations in the architectural sector, such as public housing contracts, and to ensure the safety of major structures. By field, 11 members were selected for architectural structure and 108 for construction.
The Public Procurement Service transparently discloses the list of evaluation committee members for the Technical Advisory Committee in the fields of public building design and supervision, which are directly related to public safety. The review and evaluation processes are also broadcast live on YouTube.
Jeon Taewon, Director of the Fair Procurement Bureau, stated, "The role of evaluation committee members in selecting competent contractors is extremely important to ensure the quality of public housing and the smooth progress of projects," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that high-quality and safe public housing is supplied in a timely manner through fair and transparent procurement evaluations."
