Supporting Essential Public Services Needed in the Local Community
Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province will select 134 participants for the public works and local community job creation projects for the second half of 2025, with the official launch of the program set for July 1.
This initiative aims to provide stable employment opportunities to citizens amid the ongoing economic downturn and job shortage, while also supporting essential public services needed in the local community. The city plans to operate the program for a total of five months, from July 1 to November 30, 2025.
In the second half of this year, participants will be assigned to a total of 64 workplaces (58 for public works and 6 for local community projects), where they will engage in a variety of fields such as administrative support, environmental maintenance, and assistance with local specialized projects.
In particular, to ensure a safe working environment, all participants will receive occupational safety and accident prevention training on July 1, the start date of the program, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Mayor Park Dongsik stated, "This public job creation program will not only support citizens' livelihoods but also greatly contribute to the recovery of the local community," adding, "We will actively support all participants so that they can work safely and with a sense of fulfillment."
