During the campaign, more than 10 executives and employees participated, promoting various measures to stabilize local businesses and support economic recovery. These included encouraging citizens to visit nearby traditional markets and neighborhood stores at least once a month, use Gwangju’s public delivery app, and pay with local currencies such as the Gwangju Sangsaeng Card. The campaign actively encouraged citizens to participate in these initiatives.
After the campaign, participants continued their efforts to boost domestic demand and stimulate consumption by dining at local small business restaurants instead of the company cafeteria.
In addition, the corporation is injecting vitality into the frozen local economy through a variety of initiatives, including a “Good Consumption” relay that involves visiting traditional markets and neighborhood businesses every month to make advance purchases and payments, as well as achieving 129% of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s target amount through proactive and prompt fiscal execution efforts.
President Cho Ikmun stated, “We are pursuing various projects to stimulate local consumption and help stabilize people’s livelihoods,” and added, “Although these are difficult times for everyone, I ask for citizens’ strong interest so that we can bring warmth to the local economy.”
