On June 20, Chungnam Province held the appointment ceremony and meeting of the "Chungcheongnam-do Foreigners Attraction Committee" in the provincial government conference room.
The meeting was attended by Park Jeongju, Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs, relevant provincial officials, committee members, and experts, totaling around 20 participants. The event was conducted in two parts: the first part was the appointment ceremony, and the second part was the regular meeting.
The committee discussed support measures for the operation of the Chungnam Foreigners Global Center and the direction of foreigner policy development.
Specifically, the discussions covered: ▲ the functions and operational direction of the Chungnam Foreigners Global Center; ▲ the direction for establishing foreigner policies in Chungnam; and ▲ strategies for upgrading the Chungnam Immigration Office and attracting an immigration agency.
The appointed committee members were selected through institutional recommendations and open recruitment, and possess expertise and practical experience in various foreigner-related fields such as immigration, labor, education, and policy. The term of office is two years, with the possibility of one reappointment.
A provincial official stated, "Going forward, we will work with the committee to successfully promote key issues such as developing foreigner policies and upgrading the immigration office."
