Gyeonggi Office of Education Appoints 1,460 Local Government Officials Effective July 1
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has carried out personnel appointments for local government officials effective July 1.
This round of appointments involves a total of 1,460 people, including ▲8 at Grade 3 (3 promoted), ▲43 at Grade 4 (10 promoted), ▲171 at Grade 5 (18 promoted), and ▲1,238 at Grade 6 or below (340 promoted).
The Office explained that this personnel move focused on assigning capable and proactive employees to key positions, aiming to establish an organic system of organizational collaboration that transcends departmental and job boundaries, and to provide thorough support for the rapidly changing educational field.
In particular, Grade 6 officials have been assigned to affiliated agencies to play essential roles in formulating and implementing Gyeonggi education policies based on their expertise.
Additionally, to promptly fill vacancies caused by retirement, leave of absence, dismissal, and current educational issues, and to boost employee morale, the Office expanded promotions, transfers, and new appointments.

An official from the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education stated, "Through these appointments, we plan to ensure the stable operation of the Gyeonggi Future Education System and respond proactively to the rapidly changing educational administration." The official added, "We will continue to improve the local government official personnel system to enhance fairness and rationality, including resolving personnel grievances and promoting job rotation between schools and institutions."
