Ministry of Foreign Affairs Issues Special Travel Advisory for Israel and Iran
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on June 13, 2025, that it would issue a special travel advisory (level 2.5) for certain regions in Israel and Iran following Israel's airstrike on Iran.
This measure will take effect on June 14, 2025, and the areas in both countries that were previously under a level 2 (travel caution) advisory will be elevated to a special travel advisory.
The special travel advisory corresponds to level 2.5, which is between level 2 (travel caution) and level 3 (recommendation to leave the country), and is issued in cases of urgent and temporary danger. It remains valid for up to 90 days from the date of issuance.
The existing level 3 and level 4 (travel ban) advisories for certain regions in Israel, as well as the level 3 advisory for certain regions in Iran, will remain in effect.
