Gyeongnam Information University Wins Awards at Pet Dog Stylist Competition for Second Consecutive Year
Students from the Department of Companion Animal Studies at Gyeongnam Information University won awards at the "2025 KKC Pet Dog Stylist Competition" held at the KKC Indoor Center in Seoul on June 7, 2025.

Notably, the department produced award winners for two consecutive years, once again demonstrating the excellence of its practice-oriented curriculum.
Students from the Department of Companion Animal Studies at Gyeongnam Information University participated in this competition as part of the extracurricular program supported by the College Innovation Support Project.
Jang Jinwook, head of the Department of Companion Animal Studies, said, "I am very proud that our students were able to fully demonstrate the skills they have honed through daily practice at the competition site," and added, "We will continue to do our best to nurture professionals who can contribute to the companion animal industry."
Park Hyojin, head of the Center for Extracurricular Innovation at the university, stated, "I believe that the experience of participating in this competition greatly helped strengthen not only the students' practical skills but also their employability," and continued, "We will continue to expand a variety of practical extracurricular programs and field-oriented opportunities that provide real benefits to students."
This competition, organized by the Korea Kennel Club (KKC), was a nationwide pet dog grooming contest aimed at enhancing professionalism in pet dog styling and promoting the development of the industry.
