Pyeongtaek City Selected as Outstanding Institution in Gyeonggi Province Mental Health Promotion Project
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on June 9 that it has been selected as an outstanding institution in the 'Mental Health Promotion Project Evaluation' conducted by Gyeonggi Province.
This evaluation assessed the operational performance of mental health promotion projects carried out last year in 31 cities and counties within the province. In this year's evaluation, the Pyeongtaek City Public Health Center was recognized as an outstanding institution for actively promoting a variety of mental health projects, including the operation of the Mental Health Welfare Center.
The evaluation was conducted through a written review by the Gyeonggi Province Evaluation Committee and covered a total of 10 items, including efforts to secure budget, adequacy of space for the Mental Health Welfare Center, establishment of a dedicated team for mental health promotion, installation and support of mental rehabilitation facilities for people with mental illness, creation of an environment for the community integration of people with mental illness, and implementation of exemplary mental health programs.
Awarding of outstanding institutions is scheduled to take place at the 'Mental Health Day' ceremony to be held in October.
