Citibank Korea Launches Support Project for Vulnerable National Meritorious Persons
Sponsorship Agreement Signed with the Senior Citizens Comprehensive Support Center and Habitat Korea
On June 5, Citibank Korea announced that it had signed a sponsorship agreement for the "Support Project for Vulnerable National Meritorious Persons" with the Senior Citizens Comprehensive Support Center and Habitat Korea at its headquarters on Saemunan-ro, Jongno, Seoul the previous day, and delivered a total sponsorship fund of 300 million won. The agreement ceremony was attended by Yum Joonsun, President of Citibank Korea, Kim Hyunmi, Director of the Senior Citizens Comprehensive Support Center, Yoon Hyungjoo, Chairman of Habitat Korea, as well as other officials.
This project is a collaborative program designed to improve housing stability and quality of life for national meritorious persons living in poor housing conditions. Citibank Korea, together with the Senior Citizens Comprehensive Support Center and Habitat Korea, plans to carry out various support activities such as providing home remodeling support for six households, the "Heart-Connecting Volunteer" program to provide household goods, and the donation campaign "2025 6.6 Walking Event." In addition to financial sponsorship, Citibank Korea plans for its employees to directly participate in on-site home renovation activities and volunteer programs.

Yum Joonsun, President of Citibank Korea, stated, "This project is especially meaningful because it goes beyond simple sponsorship and translates our respect for those who have devoted themselves to the nation into concrete support," adding, "Citibank Korea will continue to carefully address difficulties in our society that may be easily overlooked and strive to provide practical assistance."
