Foundation to Provide Comprehensive Support for Global Expansion of K-Deep Tech Companies Throughout the Entire Cycle
On June 4, the Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) announced that it will implement the "Global Proof of Concept (PoC) Support Project Based on Collaborative Hubs" for companies located in special R&D zones that possess promising deep-tech technologies.
This project aims to provide comprehensive support throughout the entire global expansion cycle for eligible companies, focusing on three key regions: Eastern North America, Western North America, and Europe. The support includes PoC (Proof of Concept) for technologies and products, marketability verification, connection with local partners, attraction of overseas investment, and establishment of local subsidiaries.
Through this project, the Foundation plans to enable deep-tech companies in special zones to receive dedicated support from domestic and international specialized organizations. Depending on the selection stage, companies can receive a verification and commercialization package worth up to 50 million KRW, helping them secure competitiveness on the global stage.
Eight domestic and international organizations will participate as partners in this project, including SID Partners and Joshua Partners (domestic common program); ED Research and Lucyke Korea (Eastern North America); Tap Angel Partners and Mind the Bridge (Western North America); and Startup Colors UG and Herem (Europe).
Applications for participation in the project will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on July 20. Details on the recruitment announcement and specific support can be found on the Foundation's website.
Jung Heekwon, Chairman of the Foundation, stated, "The Foundation will serve as a bridgehead to help promising deep-tech companies leverage the achievements of domestic public technology commercialization and enter the global market," adding, "We will strive to ensure that the Global PoC Support Project Based on Collaborative Hubs becomes not just a short-term verification initiative, but a successful model for global deep-tech technology commercialization."
