Gwangju Office of Education to Operate Student-Centered Integrated Support Training
Enhancing Understanding of Policy
The Gwangju Office of Education announced on June 4 that it will operate the "On-Site Student-Centered Integrated Support Training" to enhance field understanding of the "Student-Centered Integrated Support Project," which will be fully implemented in March next year.
The "Student-Centered Integrated Support Project" is a policy aimed at the early identification of students facing complex crisis situations, such as underachievement in basic academic skills, economic hardship, psychological or emotional issues, school violence, and child abuse. The project supports customized growth for these students through inter-project collaboration and cooperation with specialized personnel.
This training will be conducted from this month through November and will focus on the achievements and case studies of the 10 schools currently participating in the pilot program. Seventeen principals and teachers who have completed the Ministry of Education's Student-Centered Integrated Support Expert Course will visit schools directly to conduct the training through a variety of activities, including lectures and group work.
The Office of Education is accepting concentrated applications until June 13, and applications will also be accepted on a rolling basis through November.
