Lee Junseok Says "Sorry for Not Fully Reflecting the Hopes of the Young Generation"
Lee Junseok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, stated on June 3, immediately after the announcement of the presidential election exit polls, "Many young people sent their hopes and expectations, and I am sorry that I was not able to fully live up to them."
After the exit polls were released by broadcasters that evening, Lee met with reporters in front of his home and said, "Through this election, I have studied, learned, and found areas for further improvement. I will continue to refine myself so that I can contribute to Korea and its politics," expressing these sentiments.
Lee said, "In this election, despite extremely difficult circumstances, all the members and supporters of the Reform New Party united and did very well, for which I am grateful. Above all, I sincerely thank the people of our country for their strong support." He added, "I will continue to repay this kindness as I continue my political career."
