As of 6:00 p.m. on June 3, the day of the 21st presidential election's main voting, the nationwide voter turnout was provisionally tallied at 76.1%. This figure is 0.4 percentage points higher than the nationwide turnout at the same time during the 20th presidential election held in 2022.
According to the National Election Commission, as of 6:00 p.m. on this day, the voter turnout stood at 76.1%, with 33,768,137 out of a total of 44,391,871 eligible voters having cast their ballots. This is 0.4 percentage points higher than the turnout at the same time during the 2022 presidential election, but 1.0 percentage point lower than the final turnout for that election.
This result includes all votes cast during the early voting period held on May 29 and 30.
As of 6:00 p.m., Jeonnam recorded the highest regional turnout at 81.8%, while Jeju had the lowest at 71.9%. Specifically, the turnout rates by region were: Seoul 76.4%, Gyeonggi 76.1%, Incheon 74.5%, Gangwon 75.1%, Daejeon 75.5%, Chungnam 72.8%, Chungbuk 73.9%, Sejong 79.6%, Jeonbuk 80.3%, Gwangju 81.7%, Daegu 76.0%, Gyeongbuk 75.6%, Gyeongnam 75.0%, Ulsan 76.3%, and Busan 74.4%.

The main voting on this day is being conducted from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for all eligible voters aged 18 and older. Ballot counting will begin after voting ends at 8:00 p.m. at 254 counting stations nationwide.
