The Democratic Party of Korea will elect a new floor leader on June 13.
On June 3, the party's Supreme Council held a meeting at the central party headquarters in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and decided to conduct the election for floor leader over two days, June 12 and 13.
Voting by dues-paying party members will take place on June 12 and 13, while voting by National Assembly members will be held on June 13 to elect the new floor leader.
For the first time, the floor leader election will reflect 20% of the vote from dues-paying party members. The winner will be determined by combining 80% of the votes from National Assembly members and 20% from dues-paying party members, with the candidate receiving a majority of votes elected as floor leader.
