View original imageOn May 30, at The Star Hue (par 72, 6,787 yards) in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, Lee fired a 6-under-par 66 in the first round of the KLPGA Tour Sh Suhyup Bank MBN Women's Open, which has a total prize fund of 1 billion won. She recorded seven birdies and one bogey. Lee reduced her score by three strokes on the front nine with birdies at holes 2, 3, and 9, then paused briefly with a bogey at the 10th hole (par 4). She then jumped into the title race by making back-to-back birdies at both holes 13 and 14, and again at holes 17 and 18.
