This year's Farmers' University will be operated with three courses: Smart Strawberry, Agricultural Start-up Trends, and Young Farmers. Each course consists of a total of 17 sessions and 72 hours. The curriculum combines field-oriented practical training and theoretical education, focusing on enhancing farmers' expertise and strengthening sustainable management capabilities.
At the opening ceremony, Governor Jeong Cheolwon stated, "Through customized education that combines theory and practice, we will foster high value-added agricultural products and enhance the competitiveness of future agriculture, leading to the sustainable development of Damyang agriculture."
Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2008, Damyang County Farmers' University has produced a total of 998 graduates through 25 courses and 580 sessions to date. The graduates are actively participating in research groups by crop and in local agricultural activities, playing a significant role in increasing farmers' income and advancing regional agriculture.
