On May 21, the People Power Party announced plans to mandate the online disclosure of animal hospital fees and to promote the establishment of public funeral facilities for companion animals.
The Policy Headquarters of the People Power Party unveiled its pledge titled "Companion Animal Policies for a Happier Society - A New Korea" on this day.
The People Power Party pledged to standardize medical service items and require their online disclosure so that anyone can easily compare animal hospital treatment fees. The party explained that this is intended to expand the current scope of disclosure to all medical services, thereby reducing cost uncertainty and encouraging price competition.

The party plans to expand facilities related to companion animals as well. It will increase the number of companion animal parks and cafes, and expand the number of pet boarding facilities to alleviate concerns for households with pets during long absences. The party will establish pet boarding facilities in special and metropolitan cities, as well as in city and county governments, and provide operational cost support. Discounts on pet boarding fees will be offered to low-income and vulnerable groups.
The party also presented pledges related to stray animals. It will provide support for education and training, medical and food expenses, and pet insurance enrollment for households adopting stray animals. The party will operate an adoption platform for stray animals and plans to increase national funding for the neutering of stray cats.

The party will support research and development (R&D) and exports of veterinary pharmaceuticals for companion animals and enact legislation to support the growth of industries related to companion animals.
