Gwangju Bukgu District announced on May 20 that Yangsan Library has been selected for the '2025 Reading Culture Program for People with Disabilities' grant project.
Yangsan Library plans to collaborate with the Gwangju Welfare Center for the Disabled to run customized cultural experience events for individuals with physical disabilities under the theme 'Slowly with Books.' The events will include library tours, picture book appreciation, and post-reading activities.
The program will be held a total of 11 times from May 21 through July, consisting of one library tour and 10 sessions of picture book appreciation and post-reading activities.
After the program concludes, the district will conduct a survey of participants and use the results to improve future reading culture programs. Residents interested in participating can apply through the Gwangju Welfare Center for the Disabled, and further information is available from the Bukgu District Library Division.
