After the launch ceremony of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk campaign committee the previous day, Kim also told reporters, "Whether former President Yoon leaves the party or not is entirely up to him," and added, "It is not right for our party to tell him to leave or not to leave."
On this day, Kim also criticized Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jaemyung, saying, "Lee claims that the national crisis is due to us (the People Power Party), but while we certainly are not without responsibility, and our responsibility is significant, does he not consider himself to be at the very epicenter of the crisis?"
Kim referred to the Democratic Party's push for a confirmation hearing for Supreme Court Chief Justice nominee Cho Huidae, criticizing, "All of these actions are for Lee Jaemyung, by Lee Jaemyung, and represent Lee Jaemyung's near-dictatorship and unilateralism," and added, "This is very far from democracy."
Regarding the recent overlap of campaign regions in Yeongnam between himself and Lee, Kim said, "Our country is not that large, so such overlaps are inevitable," and did not attach much significance to it, saying, "Isn't it obvious?"
When asked about his stance on abolishing the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Kim replied, "I am neither in favor of abolishing the ministry outright nor of unconditionally expanding it."
