Discussion on Potential for Mutual Cooperation Between the Two Regions for Future Urban Development
On May 12, Gijang County in Busan hosted a delegation of public officials from Bagakhangai District in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, who visited the county to engage in exchange activities.
This visit was organized for the Mongolian delegation to observe exemplary cases of public administration and urban management in the Busan region, with the aim of applying these insights to the urban development policies of Bagakhangai District. The delegation consisted of a total of 16 members, including Jadamba Chaganguumguung, Mongolian Consul; Paelidshir Munkhgerel, Chair of the Bagakhangai District Council; and Altanhuyag Sokhbold, District Chief.

View original imageOn this day, Gijang County and the Mongolian delegation explored opportunities for cooperation in various fields, sharing both the commonalities of natural environment and traditional culture between the regions, as well as the differences in local administrative operations and policy directions.
Jadamba Chaganguumguung, Mongolian Consul, stated, "Through friendly cooperation with Gijang County, we hope to learn from the county's successful cases in areas such as health, medical care, and education, and actively incorporate these into the urban policies of Bagakhangai District."
Gijang County Mayor Jeong Jongbok said, "I sincerely welcome the Bagakhangai District delegation to Gijang County," and added, "I hope this exchange will serve as a foundation for sustainable urban development and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two regions."
Gijang County plans to further strengthen global exchanges by expanding international sisterhood relationships and discovering inter-city cooperation projects.
