Gwangju Office of Education to Hold 'Student Outdoor Busking' in Five Districts
A Total of 57 Teams to Perform by May 31

The Gwangju Office of Education announced on May 12 that it will hold the 3rd Student Outdoor Busking event in all five districts of Gwangju through May 31.
The Student Outdoor Busking event is a stage-based participatory program designed to showcase students' artistic talents and abilities. It began in 2023 and is now in its third year.

View original imageThis year, a total of 57 teams and approximately 368 participants will take part in the event. In addition to students, out-of-school youth will also perform on stage. The busking event will be held once in each district, for a total of five sessions, and will take place at various outdoor venues throughout the city.
The schedule is as follows: Nam-gu Yangrim Penguin Village on the 10th, Seo-gu Usquare Plaza on the 21st, Gwangsan-gu Suwan Lake Park on the 24th, Buk-gu Biennale Outdoor Plaza on the 28th, and Dong-gu National Asia Culture Center Sky Garden on the 31st.
Participants will present a variety of performances at each venue, including dance, band, vocal, instrumental music, and Taekwondo demonstrations, filling the streets with art.
Superintendent Lee Jungseon stated, "We will continue to support Gwangju students so their talents can shine, not only through outdoor busking but also through the Talent Festival and the School Arts Education Festival."
