Goryeong County Launches Mobile Campaign to Prevent Tick-Borne Diseases Using Quarantine Vehicles
Goryeong County in North Gyeongsang Province will conduct a campaign to promote the prevention of tick-borne infectious diseases using quarantine vehicles from May to October, coinciding with the peak farming season and increased outdoor activities.
This campaign will involve attaching tick prevention guidelines to the exterior of quarantine vehicles and conducting promotional activities for residents as the vehicles travel throughout Goryeong County.
In particular, this initiative aims to improve access to preventive information for vulnerable groups, such as the elderly and foreign workers, who may have difficulty accessing information.
Additionally, by providing guidance on practical prevention measures?such as the use of repellents?that can be implemented in daily life, the county hopes to encourage residents to prevent infectious diseases themselves and to raise overall awareness of infectious diseases within the community.
