Korea Playwrights Association to Hold Roundtable on Major Shift in Cultural and Arts Policy

The Korea Playwrights Association announced that, in collaboration with the "Meoksanism Network," an external organization supporting candidate Lee Jaemyung, it will hold a roundtable discussion titled "Our Hopes for the New Administration: A Grand Shift in Cultural and Arts Policy" at 2:00 p.m. on May 9 at the Korea Playwrights Association office.

The Playwrights Association stated that, through this roundtable, it aims to identify the cultural and arts policies desired by the theater community and incorporate them into the presidential campaign pledges.
The Meoksanism Special Committee for Culture and the Arts began its "Listening Tour" on May 6, gathering feedback on the challenges faced by various sectors of the cultural and arts community in order to develop effective, field-oriented policies. The first listening tour was held with the theater community on May 6, followed by the Playwrights Association. The next tours are scheduled with the Arts Education Instructors Association (at the Korea Arts Education Instructors Association office) on May 14, and with the traditional Korean music community (at the Yeongdong Gugak Festival site) on May 16. Schedules with the sports and fine arts communities are currently being coordinated.
