to Request Inclusion of Local Pending Projects
Jangheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim Sung) announced on May 8, 2025, that it visited central government departments, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, on May 7 to secure government budget allocations for local pending projects.
On that day, Governor Kim Sung met with Park Beomsoo, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, to explain the necessity of the Busan Geumja District Multi-purpose Rural Water Development Project and requested its active inclusion in the government budget.

View original imageAt the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, he held meetings with Ha Jongmok, Director General of Local Finance, and Hwang Giyeon, Director General of Prevention Policy, to explain the difficulties in managing local finances due to the reduction of general grant tax.
He then proposed raising the allocation rate of the general grant tax, expanding local tax sources, and improving the distribution method and performance evaluation of the Local Extinction Response Fund to ensure its effectiveness. In particular, he held policy meetings with officials from Jangheung County working in central government departments, asking for their cooperation in securing government budgets and contributing to regional development.
Governor Kim Sung stated, "To secure government budgets, which are the key driving force for regional development, I will actively communicate with central government departments and continue to do my best to resolve local issues."
