Kia Sells 274,437 Vehicles Globally in April, Up 5% Year-on-Year
Sportage Maintains Global Popularity

Kia announced on May 2 that it sold a total of 274,437 vehicles in the global market in April 2025. This represents a 5.0% increase compared to the same month last year.
By region, based on wholesale figures, 51,005 vehicles were sold domestically (up 7.4%), and 223,113 vehicles were sold overseas (up 2.2%). Sales of special-purpose vehicles totaled 319 units.
By model, the Sportage was the best-selling vehicle in the global market with 47,737 units sold, followed by the Seltos (25,543 units) and the Sorento (23,855 units).
Specifically, in the domestic market, the Sorento was the top-selling model with 8,796 units sold. Passenger cars, including the Ray (4,262 units), K5 (3,581 units), and K8 (2,566 units), accounted for a total of 12,415 units sold.
For recreational vehicles (RVs), a total of 35,152 units were sold, including the Sorento, Carnival (7,592 units), Sportage (6,703 units), Seltos (5,101 units), and EV3 (3,057 units). Commercial vehicles totaled 3,438 units, including 3,303 units of the Bongo III.
In overseas markets, the Sportage was also the best-selling model with 41,034 units sold, followed by the Seltos (20,442 units) and the K3 (including K4, 16,666 units).
For special-purpose vehicles, 80 units were sold domestically and 239 units overseas.

A Kia representative stated, "Sales continue to grow both domestically and overseas, and we will maintain this sales momentum with competitive new models such as the EV4 and Tasman."
