The 'Ansan International Street Arts Festival,' hosted by Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province, has won the grand prize in the regional festival category at the 'Korea Prestige Brand Awards' for the second consecutive year, following last year's achievement.

The Ansan International Street Arts Festival, which began in 2005, is celebrating its 21st edition this year. The city explained that the festival was honored with the award for being recognized as a prestigious event that balances popularity, artistic value, sustainability, and citizen participation. The city also added that its collaboration with local schools and its nature as a 'participatory festival' created together with citizens were highly regarded.
Lee Min-geun, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "With this award, the Ansan International Street Arts Festival has been recognized as a leading festival that enhances the city's brand value through culture and the arts and is created together with citizens." He added, "We will continue to develop the festival so that even more citizens will participate in the future."
