Seo-gu, Gwangju to Recruit New Applicants for 'Youth Tomorrow Savings Account'

Seo-gu, Gwangju will be recruiting new applicants for the 'Youth Tomorrow Savings Account' from May 2 to May 21.
According to Seo-gu on April 30, the 'Youth Tomorrow Savings Account' is a program designed to support young people in becoming financially independent and building assets. Under this program, working youth who meet certain income requirements can save between 100,000 and 500,000 won per month for three years, and depending on their income level, the government will provide a matching contribution of either 100,000 won or 300,000 won per month.

View original imageThe eligible applicants are youth aged 19 to 34 from households with an income at or below 100% of the median income, and who earn between 500,000 and 2,500,000 won per month from employment or business activities. However, for households with an income at or below 50% of the median income, youth who earn at least 100,000 won per month are also eligible, and the age range is expanded to 15 to 39 years old.
The application period is from May 2 to May 21. Applicants can apply in person at their local administrative welfare center or online via the Welfare Portal (Bokjiro).
The selection results will be announced in August after a review of income and assets. For more details, please contact the Disabled Persons Hope Welfare Division at Seo-gu Office.
Yoon Jongseong, head of the Disabled Persons Hope Welfare Division, stated, "The Youth Tomorrow Savings Account is expected to be a great opportunity for working, low-income youth to achieve stable independence," and encouraged eligible working youth to show interest and participate actively.
