This project provides R&D funding to research institutes of outstanding companies with export capacity and technological prowess. According to the preliminary feasibility study, the total project budget has been set at 289.5 billion won, with a project period of six years (2026?2031).

Accordingly, a total of 70 companies will receive industry-academia-research collaboration R&D funding for three years during the project period. Depending on the country where the collaborating institution is located, support will be divided into two tracks: 60 technology-leading projects for challenging R&D, and 10 market-customized projects aimed at pioneering new markets. To facilitate smooth international collaborative R&D, networking, agreement and IP management, as well as legal and institutional support, will also be provided.

Ryu Kwangjun, Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, stated, "With the implementation of this project, we hope that companies with potential will create export success stories based on innovation. The Science and Technology Innovation Bureau will continue to make strategic national R&D investments to drive innovation-led growth."
