[Conference Call] SK hynix: "Significant U.S. Tariff Uncertainty... Memory Demand Unchanged"
"It Could Actually Stimulate Replacement Demand"
During its Q1 2025 earnings conference call held on April 24, SK hynix addressed the recent "tariff risk" stemming from U.S. President Donald Trump. The company stated, "While some countries are currently deferring reciprocal tariffs, there remains significant uncertainty, such as the possibility of tariffs being imposed on semiconductor products." However, SK hynix also noted, "Overall, our global customers are maintaining their previously discussed memory demand without change."

The company further explained, "Some customers are requesting early delivery of memory products." It added, "In the case of PCs and smartphones, final consumers are rushing to make purchases before potential price increases due to the temporary deferral of tariffs, which could in fact stimulate replacement demand."
