Gochang Food Industry Research Institute Launches Support Project for "Tourism Product Advancement"
For Food Manufacturers and Sixth Industry Certified Enterprises
The Gochang Food Industry Research Institute is accepting applications from beneficiary companies for the "Gochang Specialized Resource Tourism Product Advancement Support Project (Second Year)" until May 8.
According to the county on April 21, this project is jointly supported by Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province and Gochang County, and targets food manufacturing companies and sixth industry certified enterprises located in Gochang County.
The county aims to strengthen corporate competitiveness by supporting the commercialization of local tourism food products, with a total support fund of 228 million KRW. The support areas include: ▲technical guidance (5 cases), ▲testing and analysis (5 cases), ▲efficacy verification (1 case), ▲acquisition of certifications and intellectual property rights (3 cases), ▲prototype production (5 cases), ▲online marketing (5 cases), ▲design improvement (9 cases), and ▲packaging support (2 cases), providing a total of 35 programs across 8 categories.
Beneficiary companies can apply for customized support tailored to their growth and development needs. In particular, this year, the project will simultaneously promote the use of the joint "Gochang Food" brand and support entry into overseas markets, with the aim of advancing the local food and tourism industries and establishing a foundation for exporting Gochang food products abroad. The project announcement will be posted on the websites of the county office, Jeonbuk Technopark, and the Gochang Food Industry Research Institute.
Park Saenggi, head of the research institute, stated, "Last year, 14 companies benefited from the program, achieving sales of 4 billion KRW. Building on the first year's results, we will do our utmost in the second year to advance the food and tourism sectors," and added, "We hope for active interest and participation from local companies."
